Supporting A Call to College is an investment in the future of all Newark students
and the health, prosperity and quality of life of our local community. All
students, especially those from limited means and backgrounds unfamiliar with
the college-going process, deserve the encouragement, advice and support to not
only set high educational goals, but also reach them.
Thanks to the vision and generosity of Newark High
School alumni, and through financial support from community members, the school
system, granting agencies, foundations, business and industry, a permanent
endowment has been established. Exceptional stewardship of this endowment has
helped the impact and reach of A Call to College steadily grow since its inception in 1991. Endowment income currently funds a portion of the high school programming and an annual scholarship budget that exceeds
$200,000. Your gift, no matter what size, will help A Call to College continue to open doors, change lives and build
futures.
