Budding young scientists and mathematicians have the opportunity
to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) fields thanks to
this wonderful program brought to Licking County for the fourth year by
The Works. In partnership with Denison University and The Ohio State
University at Newark, students aged nine, ten, and eleven or twelve years old
are invited to register for interactive sessions on topics like how we know
black holes even exist or why volcanoes erupt, taught by college professors!
The sessions are on the following Saturdays from 10:30 am – 2:30 pm:
- January 25 (Denison)
- February 8 (OSU-Newark)
- March 7 (Denison)
- April 11 (The Works)
Registration for this program is on a FIRST-come, FIRST-served
basis. A parent or other designated adult must stay on campus for the
entire time the student is involved with the KTU activity and is highly encouraged to attend EXPLORE College,
informative parent-focused sessions about guiding their students to and through
college.
