Local actors perform the original script, “The Wonderful Wizard of College,” written to reinforce the fall College and Money Savvy Wildcats lesson plans. The play is run in collaboration with The Works, a unique educational resource that highlights Newark's rich history of banking, science and technological innovation. All 4th grade classrooms will visit The Works to experience the play and take an "hour power tour" of this wonderful museum. The play was written by a professor from Ohio State Newark (Edie Norlin) and a retired Newark drama/art teacher (Dennis Kohler) and is directed by Mary Borgia, Gifted Intervention Specialist at Newark City Schools.
