“To assure every Newark City Schools student the opportunity to pursue and complete education after high school.”

A Call to College was founded in 1991, by the generosity and vision of Newark High School alumni and community leaders. Since that time, we have made every effort to keep alumni involved in the future of our community by helping Newark’s students pursue post-secondary education. We need your help!

"A Call to College has helped us navigate all aspects of the college search process for both of our sons. The staff and advisors go out of their way to provide information, support and encouragement to students and parents alike. Family friends from other school districts are always so surprised and envious that the Newark City School District has such a great resource available to help with the nuts and bolts of financing and obtaining a college education."
-Molly Pancini, NHS Parent '14, '16 (with son, Vinny '16, above)

“By providing excellent guidance and financial help, A Call to College has shown that students like me are their top priority. One of the most valuable things they taught me is how to prepare for the future. They gave me that needed extra hand. I encourage every Newark student to get involved with A Call to College since their staff will be there from day one to the very end of one’s exciting journey through college.  They are the shadow that has your back--always!”

-Jon Pyles, NHS '08,                          Bethel University (TN) '16

”Picking a college and deciding on my future direction were a lot easier with your guidance. I would especially like to thank you for choosing me to be a Last Dollar Grant recipient.  The grant will be a huge help in enabling me to reach my goals.”
