Overarching responsibilities of this position include: implementation, management and evaluation of projects and programs; spokesperson for A Call to College; developing student relationships and providing informed advising; and leading and collaborating with multiple teams.

To fulfill this mission, the following objectives inform A Call to College programs and services: 

  • to motivate and encourage students of Newark City Schools to graduate from high school and to pursue  education after high school
  • to counsel and advise students of Newark City Schools and their families about sources of financial aid for college
  • to provide Last Dollar Grants to qualified Newark City School graduates
  • to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of education beyond high school
